MEMO!

Ok, here's the story, and I'm sticking to it. Thumbscrews, ironmaidens, whatever.
I'm unshakable in my resolve. Do your worst.
I haven't worked in three weeks or better. Here's why.
Just as I was ready to start the last commission I had lined up, I caught the flu. Not just a "flu", but rather the Hiroshima of flu's. I was laid up for so long I grew my own blankets.
Then, just as I started to feel just a bit better, and the guilt was about to overwhelm me, the temperature, until then a seasonal Minnesota late fall, early winter it fell through the floor and snowed like hell. I'm talking forty below zero(f) and winds of nearly fifty miles an hour.

Yeah.
I took a chance and went out to bring the drawing board, lights, etc, back to the house so things wouldn't freeze. The flu got worse.
So, at last I'm up and about, studio functioning to a point where I feel comfortable working again. Granted, I'm a wee bit wobbley, but pretty much none the worse, except I get tired very easily.
That's why no blog, no answered emails and the other day to day business that running a top notch, highly successful studio entails.

*cough*

Right........people with commissions finished and paid for, this is for you. I'm really very sorry about the lateness in shipping, but combined with the above, add the fact I have to scrounge for large flat clean pieces of cardboard to ship things in and NOBODY has had any. So, I had to change my strategy: I'm afraid I'm going to have to mail them rolled. I've purchased large, very strong tubes with lids to ship art in. If this troubles you, I'm sorry, but I can afford nothing better. Reinforced, acid free mailing boxes are just beyond my means. Besides, art is shipped in tubes all the time. Please understand. They arrived the day before Christmas and art will be going out shortly. And once again, my sincere thanks for the work, and your patience.
On another note of interest to a few of you who've followed my work on eBay....Karen IS NOT THERE ANYMORE. SHE'S MOVED TO "ETSY", STILL UNDER THE USER NAME "FHIONN".
UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE, IF ANYONE WANTS ANYTHING FROM ME, PLEASE WRITE HERE AND I'LL FORWARD IT TO HER TO HAMMER OUT THE DETAILS. OR, YOU CAN WRITE TO HER AT HER AOL ADDRESS SHE USED WHILE AT EBAY.

OK?
Good.

There.
Be kind.......
MZ.

Hooray! I'm so glad you have a blog! I just wrote some long entry about my cottage and the stuff in it, which includes a drawing you sent me a million years ago. I linked to your site, and found your blog here. Hooray!

Welcome, and please write anytime.
Do send links through the "contact" section I'm curious.

I'll try to stay on top of the blog thing if I know that somebody out there reads the damn thing.

Karen/Fhionn here :) Yes, I am glad to see the last of eBay - the most seller unfriendly place on the internet. I am now beginning to sell my old things on ETSY.com and have just posted a Zulli commission for those of you who may be interested. You may need to search my site between the vintage shoes and jewelry, my personal interests being vintage clothes and accessories, but from time to time I'll be offering a Zulli commission. Come on over to ETSY and take a look. You may like some of the old shoes as well!
